Angled view of the Daytona Panda Homage with a white dial, black-ringed subdials, black tachymetre bezel and silver-tone bracelet on a watch stand

The panda dial is what carries this build. Three black rings stand out against the white face, with a black tachymetre bezel framing the dial. It is the familiar Daytona look, down to the small red lettering above the lower subdial.

The bracelet keeps the same silver finish as the case. Its polished centre links catch the light, while the brushed outer links keep it from looking too shiny. Most of the watch stays black, white and silver; the red on the dial is the only bit of colour.

Inside is a Seiko VK63 meca-quartz movement, the same one used in the Speedmaster homage tutorial. That guide follows a different build, but the assembly steps are much the same: fitting the dial and hands, casing the movement, and checking that the chronograph starts, stops and resets. It is a useful starting point for putting this one together too.
